1. What WaxEngine is
WaxEngine is a web application, operated from Ontario, Canada, that helps trading card sellers list and manage inventory on eBay: photo-based card identification, market pricing, listing creation, performance management, and related tools. By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Your eBay account
WaxEngine connects to your eBay seller account through eBay's official authorization flow. We never see or store your eBay password. Actions the app performs (creating, revising, or ending listings, sending offers, messaging buyers) are performed on your behalf and at your direction, through settings and buttons you control. You are responsible for the listings published from your account, including their accuracy and their compliance with eBay's policies. WaxEngine is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by eBay Inc.
3. AI-generated content
Card identification, suggested prices, suggested titles, and descriptions are generated by automated systems and are provided as suggestions. They can be wrong. You review and approve listings before they are published, and you are responsible for verifying details (player, set, condition, price) before publishing. WaxEngine does not guarantee sales, prices, or marketplace outcomes.
4. Plans, billing, and trials
Paid subscriptions are billed by Stripe on a monthly or annual cycle at the price shown at checkout. New accounts receive a free trial; when the trial ends, scanning and publishing require an active subscription. Monthly scan quotas apply to each plan, and additional scan packs can be purchased. You can cancel at any time from the billing page; your plan stays active until the end of the period already paid for. Prices may change with at least 30 days notice; founding-member pricing is locked for the life of the subscription as described at purchase.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use WaxEngine to list items you do not have the right to sell, to violate eBay policies or applicable law, to probe or disrupt the service, or to resell access. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or put other users at risk, and will tell you why.
6. Your data
Your photos, listings, and sales data remain yours. You grant us the limited rights needed to operate the service (storing your photos, sending them to identification systems, publishing listings you approve). You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Service quality and liability
We work to keep WaxEngine fast and reliable, but the service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We depend on third-party platforms (eBay, payment processing, cloud hosting) that can change or fail outside our control. To the maximum extent permitted by law, WaxEngine's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or lost sales.
8. Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the product evolves; material changes will be announced by email or in the app before they take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Questions: hello@waxengine.com.
