After a year of managing 1,500+ eBay hockey card listings, we built the tool we always wanted. Today, we're opening it up to other sellers.
The Problem Every Card Seller Knows
If you sell sports cards on eBay, you know the drill. You’ve got stacks of cards to identify, price, and list. Each one needs a carefully crafted title (80 characters max for eBay SEO), accurate pricing based on recent sold comparables, and proper item specifics.
Then, once they’re listed, you’re managing them. Which ones have been sitting too long? Which have watchers you should send offers to? Which should you end and relist to get a fresh start?
Multiply that by 1,500 listings and it becomes a full-time job.
Why We Built WaxEngine
WaxEngine started as a personal tool. We were managing a growing inventory of hockey cards on eBay and found ourselves spending more time on listing management than actually finding great cards to sell.
So we started automating. First the pricing, pulling sold comps from eBay and building a comp database that gets smarter over time. Then the AI identification, using AI vision to identify cards from photos instead of typing everything manually.
Then came the tier system. We realized that not all listings need the same attention. Some need to be ended and relisted. Some need price drops. Some have watchers who just need a nudge. And some are doing fine on their own.
What You Get
AI Card Identification, Upload a photo of a card and the AI identifies the player, set, year, parallel, and card number. Scanned cards queue up for review, so you can process dozens of cards in a single session.

4-Tier Management, Every listing is automatically categorized by performance, with specific actions for each tier. No more guessing which listings need attention.
